# RSA Fellows' Forum | # RSA Fellows' Forum
- | The RSA Fellows' Forum was launched in March 2017 following a heated discussion on LinkedIn at the end of 2016. That mirrored earlier discussions, [like these in 2012](attitudes), when Fellows expressed their desire for betters ways to connect and engage with RSA.
- | **Note October 2019: the forum is currently little used, because of lack of volunteers or other resources for admin and facilitation. Fellowship Council is bringing together a group to review its future.**//Italic Text// | + | Update: By November 2019 activity on the forum had dropped, and the organising committee disbanded. Members of the Fellowship Council, led by Peter Clitheroe, are exploring future options. I've volunteered to act a temporary admin on the forum, and contribute to Peter's group. |

This time a group of Fellows, led by Fellowship Councillors Judy Rees, took the initiative rather than asking staff to act. We set up a [working group on Slack.com](https://ffwg.slack.com), and then created a [Fellows Forum](http://fellowsforum.thersa.org/) using Discourse. There are now more than 600 members, and some lively discussions. The Forum has the support of [Fellowship Council](https://www.thersa.org/about-us/governance/fellowship-council), and assistance from RSA staff in recruiting members. | This time a group of Fellows, led by Fellowship Councillors Judy Rees, took the initiative rather than asking staff to act.
